BIO: Dr. Jannylle Pitter is a seasoned occupational therapist with over 15 years of experience supporting children and families across educational and community settings. She has served in both independent and public-school systems in North Carolina, South Carolina, and New York, bringing a deep understanding of diverse learning environments. Jannylle has also consulted with educators and families in the Caribbean to address gaps in occupational therapy service provision and promote equitable access to care. Currently, she works in higher education as an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, where she supports student development and clinical education. Jannylle is committed to building culturally responsive practices and strengthening global OT collaboration.
Presentation Details
This presentation will explore how OTPs can effectively support students during fieldwork placements by utilizing AOTA resources, engaging in case studies, and participating in small group activities that promote success for both the fieldwork educator and the student.
